Curiosity

inspired exploration & discovery

Exploring topics of interest through guided curiosity and hands on learning.

Have children complete the required tasks in order to earn a curio.

Required Tasks

1. Learn

Read something fiction or non-fiction—like a book, article or blog.

*children who cannot yet read may be read to, but encourage them to pick the book

2. Create

Create a written piece (a paragraph, list, recipe, report, poem, essay, fictional story, etc) that shares what you know or why the topic matters, or engage in a hands on project that reflects what you have learned (a craft, experiment, skit, service project, etc.)

*children who cannot yet write may draw a picture

(fiction and non-fiction book report PDFs provided in the membership)

3. Share

Pass on what you’ve learned by teaching or sharing something about your book or topic with a friend or family member.

**It’s often helpful to give children a few options. For example, let them choose one of three books or one of five topics. This approach prevents overwhelm, offers direction, and supports their sense of autonomy by allowing the final choice to be theirs.
